Job summary

Danone is seeking a Contract Management & Procurement Excellence leader to steer the global S2C program, governance frameworks, and automation initiatives. You will partner with regional leaders to drive one unified procurement operating model and deliver measurable value across categories.

The role emphasizes process excellence, digital adoption, and capability building, advancing procurement maturity and data-driven decision making across the organization.

Qualifications

• Proven track record working in a complex, multi-layered stakeholder-led organization within manufacturing/consumer goods/personal care (preferred).
• Deep expertise in S2C, CLM, category processes, and procurement governance.

Responsibilities

• Own the global CLM process templates, clause library, DOA, and standards.
• Ensure end-to-end compliance, auditability and cycle-time reduction.
• Govern the contract lifecycle across categories, CBUs and partners.
• Drive continuous improvement (automation, AI, workflow simplification).
• Maintain a global KPI framework: DOA compliance, cycle time, rework.
• Build and deploy the Global S2C Core Model for markets/categories.
• Manage S2C delivery ecosystem (internal teams + BPO), SLAs and governance.
• Define and evolve the Procurement Excellence framework (governance, processes, performance).
• Lead learning programs and certification to strengthen procurement maturity.
• Own global dashboards: productivity, compliance, cycle times, digital adoption.

Working closely with the Category experts in the function the CoE offers insights, data, tools and capability to drive standardisation and integrity in all we do. As the Contract Management, Sourcing Execution and Procurement Excellence Director you will work in partnership with your peers to lead and scale a combined global agenda.

Ensuring that Danone delivers consistent, efficient, compliant and value-generating S2C operations while also building capabilities, governance, performance frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives across the entire C&P community. You will be a key enabler of a world-class procurement organization - driving process excellence, digital adoption, capability building and value realization across all categories and geographies.

A summary of some of the main activities are detailed below:

Contract Management (CLM) & Governance

• Own the global CLM process (templates, clause library, DOA, standards).
• Ensure end-to-end compliance, auditability and cycle-time reduction.
• Govern the contract lifecycle across categories, CBUs and BPO partners.
• Drive continuous improvement (automation, AI, workflow simplification).
• Maintain a global KPI framework: DOA compliance, cycle time, rework, contract-before-start-date.

Sourcing Execution (RFI/RFP/RFQ) & Award-to-Contract

• Build and deploy the Global S2C Core Model standard for all markets/categories.
• Ensure high-quality sourcing event execution (brief event award contract).
• Manage the S2C delivery ecosystem (internal teams + BPO), SLAs and governance.
• Ensure seamless handover to CLM and Price/Item Master activation.
• Safeguard audit trails, documentation, and compliance controls.

As this role also covers Procurement Excellence, additional responsibilities include:

Procurement Strategy & Operating and Excellence Model

• Define and evolve the Procurement Excellence framework (governance, processes, performance).
• Partner with category directors, CBUs and regions to embed one global WoW.
• Implement best practices that drive efficiency, collaboration and simplification.
• Develop global capability roadmaps (S2C, negotiation, analytics, stakeholder mgmt).
• Design and deliver learning programs in collaboration with HR L&D and Campus X.
• Lead certification programs to strengthen procurement maturity.
• Own global dashboards: productivity, compliance, cycle times, digital adoption.
• Drive harmonized KPIs for categories and regions.
• Strengthen mechanisms for value tracking (beyond € savings: risk, sustainability, innovation).
• Continuous Improvement & Transformation
• Lead CI initiatives across procurement (Lean, Kaizen, root‑cause analysis).
• Drive simplification: keep it simple mindset across tools, workflows, templates.

Support major transformation programs (ProcureHub, Digital S2C, Analytics)
