Qualifications

• Experience as a Construction Fitter in heavy steel construction.
• Experience with carbon steel and CO2 welding techniques.
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Familiarity with construction tools and equipment.
• Excellent accuracy and precision in measurements and assembly.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Good physical condition and fine motor skills.
• VCA certification.
• Strong focus on safety procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Prepare and organise materials, tools and equipment.
• Cut, form and weld carbon steel with CO2 welding techniques.
• Ensure accurate measurement and alignment during assembly.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure structural integrity.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised workplace.
• Work according to project schedules and meet deadlines.
