Job summary

Canon Medical Systems Europe is seeking an Operational Infrastructure Architect who will own the connectivity architecture and roadmap, align with business and IT strategy, and act as the primary technical interface between internal stakeholders, service desk and external infrastructure suppliers.

You will design LAN, WAN, internet, VPN and cloud connectivity, oversee performance and capacity with vendor KPIs, and mentor the service desk to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field with 10+ years in infrastructure roles.
• Strong expertise in enterprise networking, cloud environments (OCI, SaaS/IaaS) and enterprise IT systems.
• Experience with ITIL and ISO standards (e.g. ISO 27001) and outsourced infrastructure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on, pragmatic approach.
• Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in English (C1); Dutch is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the connectivity architecture and roadmap, aligned with business and IT strategy.
• Design changes involving network and connectivity: LAN, WAN, internet, VPN and cloud connectivity.
• Act as the primary technical interface between internal stakeholders, the service desk and external infrastructure suppliers.
• Support and guide the resolution of complex connectivity incidents, including follow-up improvements.
• Enable and train the service desk to perform network triage.
• Oversee infrastructure performance, capacity through vendor reporting and KPIs, and drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to infrastructure-related projects and changes, ensuring proper design, documentation and impact assessment.
