Job summary

Fortanix is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to shape the Runtime Encryption platform. You will develop tools, SDKs, and secure environments across the stack, collaborating with a small, expert team to push the boundaries of confidential computing.

You’ll work on low-level software in a hybrid Eindhoven setting, contributing to secure computing technologies used globally to protect data in use, at rest, and in transit.

Qualifications

• Experience in systems programming, especially on low-level software.
• Proficiency with Rust and C/C++ for secure, high-performance code.
• Understanding of Linux kernel and OS fundamentals.
• Ability to work in a small, highly collaborative team.
• 3–5 years hands-on experience with C/C++ or Rust.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools and SDKs for confidential computing platforms.
• Support Fortanix teams in using internal confidential computing tools.
• Design, implement high-quality software meeting security and performance standards.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues across application, runtime, kernel and platform layers.
• Stay current with trends in security and confidential computing.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain high code quality.
• Drive adoption of new tools and processes to boost efficiency and quality.
