Job summary

Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) invites applications for an Assistant Professor in condensed matter theory within the APSE group. The role emphasizes theory-experiment collaboration and developing new research directions in materials science and quantum materials.

The candidate will build an independent program, supervise diverse students, and teach across the Bachelor and Master programs in Applied Physics, with access to cutting-edge infrastructure and a strong mentoring environment

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field.
• Postdoctoral research experience or equivalent after PhD (minimum 2 years).
• Strong publication record and evidence of high-quality research.

Responsibilities

• Establish an independent and internationally visible research program.
• Lead a research team and supervise doctoral and postdoctoral researchers.
• Contribute to Bachelor's and Master's teaching in Applied Physics and related areas.
• Collaborate with experimental groups across APSE and TU/e.
