ASML is offering a hands-on internship in the Motion Control department to advance Test Impact Analysis in a modern CI/CD environment. You will research TIA methods, collect requirements, and prototype an AI-informed test-prediction model to shorten release cycles.
You will work closely with software engineers and stakeholders, apply Python and shell scripting, and contribute to an on-site/off-site hybrid program starting February 2027. Fluent English required.
The Motion Control department at ASML develops and maintains a common platform used across a wide range of products. This platform enables engineers to design and deploy advanced control systems efficiently while supporting demanding performance requirements. As the use of this platform continues to grow, ensuring fast and effective software testing becomes increasingly important. In this internship, you will help improve software delivery by investigating and implementing Test Impact Analysis methods that optimize the testing process within a modern development environment.
Your assignment Software releases within the Motion Control department are tested regularly to maintain quality and reliability. As software complexity grows, executing all available tests for every change becomes increasingly time-consuming. During this internship, you will investigate how Test Impact Analysis (TIA) can be integrated into the CI/CD environment and implement a working solution. The goal is to predict which tests should be executed based on code changes, enabling a faster and more efficient testing process. You will combine research and hands-on implementation to deliver a solution that supports software delivery teams and improves testing efficiency.
This is a bachelor/master (non-thesis) internship for minimum 6 months, minimum 4 days per week (3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of February 2027.
