Job summary

Serrala Group GmbH in Amstelveen is seeking a fully qualified lawyer to lead the compliance and legal agenda for a global cash and payments solutions provider. The role combines adherence to the established compliance framework with strategic legal support across contracts, ESG initiatives, and business activities.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified lawyer with a degree in Law, Business Law, or a comparable field.
• Professional experience in compliance and general commercial legal matters, ideally in an international environment.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating customer contracts and advising business stakeholders on legal topics.
• Broad understanding of relevant Dutch, German, and European regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical skills, business judgement, and a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
• Languages: Dutch (C2) and English (C1/C2); German skills (B2) are an advantage.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks, and further develop policies and processes.
• Deliver training and raise awareness on compliance topics across the organisation.
• Support audits, compliance reviews, and certifications (ISO, SOC 2).
• Lead ESG-related activities, including reporting, sustainability initiatives, and communication with authorities and external stakeholders.

About the role:

This role combines ownership of Serrala's established compliance framework with broader legal responsibilities, including contract negotiations, legal advisory, ESG initiatives, and support for commercial business activities.
