Job summary

Riverty in Amsterdam seeks a Compliance Expert to advise on regulatory requirements and support market entry activities. You will shape product governance and ensure regulatory alignment across the product lifecycle, working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Key responsibilities include establishing governance, risk monitoring, and fostering collaboration between local and group stakeholders while driving digitalization and AI-enabled compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in economics, law, IT or comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in compliance at a bank or payment institution, with focus on product governance and/or automation.
• Strong knowledge of EU regulations and directives (PSD3, CCD2, AMLR, EBA guidelines).
• Experience with digital tools and automation solutions.
• Analytical, structured, proactive; strong teamwork.
• Excellent German and English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise business and product teams on regulatory requirements for market entry and expansion, assess new products/services/markets, support licensing analyses and regulatory coordination.
• Develop and maintain the product governance framework across lifecycle and changes.
• Establish governance, risk, monitoring and reporting processes in the product environment.
• Act as interface between 1st and 2nd line and coordinate with local and group stakeholders.
• Identify and implement opportunities to digitalize, automate and scale compliance processes using AI and tech with governance.
• Support selection, implementation and monitoring of compliance tech, promote knowledge sharing and best practices.

Compliance Expert (m/f/d) (permanent, full-time) Join our team at our location in Berlin, Verl or Amsterdam - flexible working conditions available

Your Responsibilities

• Support international expansion: Advise business and product teams on regulatory requirements for market entry and international expansion, conduct regulatory assessments for new products, services, markets and business models, and support licensing analyses and regulatory coordination across jurisdictions.
• Drive product governance: Develop, implement and maintain the product governance framework, ensuring regulatory requirements are embedded throughout the product lifecycle and supporting product launches, developments and significant changes.
• Strengthen governance and risk management: Establish and oversee effective governance, risk, monitoring and reporting processes within the product environment, ensuring timely and sustainable implementation of regulatory requirements.
• Connect stakeholders: Act as a trusted interface between the 1st and 2nd line of defense and foster collaboration between local and group-wide stakeholders to address regulatory requirements effectively.
• Drive AI and automation: Identify and implement opportunities within the compliance function to digitalize, automate and scale compliance processes through innovative technologies and AI, while establishing appropriate standards, governance requirements and controls for their use.
• Shape the future of Compliance: Support the selection, implementation and monitoring of compliance technology solutions and promote innovation, knowledge sharing and best practices to build a technology-enabled, data-driven and future-oriented compliance function.

Qualifications

Your Profile:

• Completed studies in the field of economics, law, IT or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in the field of compliance of a bank or payment institution, ideally with a focus on product governance and/or standardization and automation
• Very good knowledge of relevant legal and financial regulatory requirements (e.g. EBA guidelines, EU regulations and EU directives such as PSD3, CCD2, AMLR, etc.)
• Experience in working with digital tools and automation solutions
• Analytical thinking, structured way of working and a high level of initiative
• Strong communication skills and strong ability to work in a team
• Very good knowledge of German and English
