Job summary

E2M Technologies BV, part of ITW, designs, develops, and manufactures electric motion and control loading systems worldwide. We seek a Commissioning Engineer to install, test, and commission our systems at customer sites, ensuring performance and reliability.

You will bridge engineering, assembly, and customer teams, traveling internationally as needed. The role involves on-site commissioning, system verification, and hands-on troubleshooting, with opportunities to train customers and contribute

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Experience with control cabinet and cable installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Ability to read electrical schematics/diagrams.
• Affinity with control systems, industrial installations, sensors, and servo technology.
• Familiarity with industrial test, commissioning, and operation software tools.
• Fluent in English; basic Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Commission and test electric motion and control loading systems.
• Perform system verification, troubleshooting, and performance validation.
• Support assembly, integration, and FAT.
• Execute on-site installation and commissioning activities at customer locations worldwide.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, software, and control system issues.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineers.
• Train customers and support system handover.
• Create commissioning reports and technical documentation.
• Support service and maintenance activities when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback from the field.

As the link between engineering, assembly, and the customer, you'll play a key role in ensuring our systems perform exactly as intended.

Key Responsibilities

You Will

• Commission and test electric motion and control loading systems.
• Perform system verification, troubleshooting, and performance validation.
• Support assembly, integration, and factory acceptance testing (FAT).
• Execute on-site installation and commissioning activities at customer locations worldwide.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, software, and control system issues.
• Collaborate closely with Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineers.
• Train customers and support them during system handover.
• Create commissioning reports and technical documentation.
• Support service and maintenance activities when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback from the field.

What You Bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Associate's/MBO Level 4 with relevant experience
• Experience with control cabinet & cable installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Ability to work with and interpret electrical engineering schematics/diagrams.
• Affinity with control systems, industrial installations, sensors, and servo technology.
• Familiarity with industrial test, commissioning, and operation software tools.
• Fluent in English, with basic Dutch skills.
• A flexible, hands‑on attitude.
• Willingness to travel internationally (infrequent, up to 10–15%).
