Job summary

E2M Technologies BV, part of the ITW group, designs, develops, and manufactures electric motion and control loading systems for applications such as vehicle simulation and entertainment rides. The role involves commissioning, on-site installation worldwide, and close collaboration with engineering teams to ensure systems perform as intended.

Based in Amsterdam, you will travel internationally, test and validate systems, and contribute to FAT, service, and field improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant Associate's/MBO Level 4 with experience.
• Experience with control cabinet installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Ability to read electrical schematics/diagrams.
• Affinity with control systems, industrial installations, sensors, and servo technology.
• Willingness to travel internationally 10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Commission and test electric motion and control loading systems.
• Perform system verification, troubleshooting, and performance validation.
• Support assembly, integration, and FAT.
• Execute on-site installation and commissioning activities at customer locations worldwide.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, software, and control system issues.

Are you excited by bringing complex machines to life and solving technical challenges on-site and around the world? We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join our team and help install, test, and commission our advanced motion systems for customers worldwide.

As the link between engineering, assembly, and the customer, you'll play a key role in ensuring our systems perform exactly as intended.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

• Commission and test electric motion and control loading systems.


• Perform system verification, troubleshooting, and performance validation.


• Support assembly, integration, and factory acceptance testing (FAT).


• Execute on-site installation and commissioning activities at customer locations worldwide.


• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, software, and control system issues.


• Collaborate closely with Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineers.


• Train customers and support them during system handover.


• Create commissioning reports and technical documentation.


• Support service and maintenance activities when required.


• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback from the field.

What You Bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Associate's/MBO Level 4 with relevant experience


• Experience with control cabinet & cable installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and testing.


• Ability to work with and interpret electrical engineering schematics/diagrams.


• Affinity with control systems, industrial installations, sensors, and servo technology.


• Familiarity with industrial test, commissioning, and operation software tools.


• Fluent in English, with basic Dutch skills.


• A flexible, hands-on attitude.


• Willingness to travel internationally (infrequent, up to 10-15%).
