Overview

To start with, the position of “Coffee sample room Specialist” sits into the Quality team of C&T Sourcing. An incredible diverse team that helps each other learn, grow and develop. And as a Coffee sample room Specialist you will be asked to support and facilitate the Quality team in determining if our coffees are on specification. For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain.

With this said we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks:

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the incoming coffee samples for daily tastings. Including unpacking, weighing of the coffee, roasting, performing physical checks and brewing /serving.
  • Release/ Reject the tested coffee in SAP
  • Be responsible for good practices and right use of lab equipment; for cleaning of and maintaining the lab according to the highest hygiene standards in order to make sure that the progress in the testing process will not be disrupted
  • Communicate with Logistic service provider on (re-)sampling, releases, etc.; with suppliers, and with other stakeholders
  • Organize sample shipment to external labs and maintain that administration and reports
Qualifications
  • We are looking for a Team player with a flexible mindset. Deadlines are short, so work amount may vary day to day. You must be independent in execution and be able to run the lab independently when necessary.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Experience in MS Excel
  • Strong feeling for hygiene and neatness
  • Affinity with the coffee product
