Job summary

NextNovate is seeking a Cloud Architect to be the technical heartbeat of customer engagements, shaping cloud strategy and delivery roadmaps. You will bridge the commercial team with engineering, designing secure, scalable Google Cloud infrastructure and leading projects from pre-sales to handover.

You bring hands-on cloud deployment experience (Terraform/OpenTofu, K8S, serverless) and deep knowledge of major cloud providers, with excellent English communication and a bias for practical,

Qualifications

• Experience in a consulting environment and ability to navigate both boardroom and server room.
• Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP/AWS/Azure) and applying that knowledge to Google Cloud.
• Self-starter who can own a project from the first pre-commercial call to handover.
• Hands-on experience deploying cloud infrastructure (VMs, managed DBs, K8S clusters, serverless) via Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Keep up with Google Cloud releases and hold or pursue Professional Cloud certifications.
• Able to explain complex technical concepts in English (Dutch a plus) to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a commercial team to understand business objectives and design cost-effective Google Cloud solutions.
• Design robust, secure infrastructure and platform solutions across compute, networking, and security components.
• Translate requirements into detailed SOWs and lead projects end-to-end.
• Analyze on-premises or multi-cloud environments to craft strategic migration roadmaps and effort estimates.
• Use Infrastructure-as-Code to ensure consistent, repeatable cloud environments.
• Provide technical guidance to a small engineering team and foster learning and excellence.
