Job summary

University Medical Center Groningen seeks a Clinical Physicist (RNG or AKF) to work in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine within the NGMB department. The role combines clinical duties, research, and innovation, with opportunities to supervise students and contribute to education.

A 32–36 hour contract is offered, with a competitive salary and partial remote work. The successful candidate should be registered or eligible for Dutch recognition, preferably hold a PhD, and have several years of clinical

Qualifications

• Registered as a Clinical Physicist (RNG or AKF) with NVKF or eligible for Dutch recognition (OKF).
• Willing to obtain RNG registration for AKF candidates.
• Preferably holds a PhD in a clinical physics-related field.
• Several years of experience as a clinical physicist (RNG or AKF).
• Fluent Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical work, research, and innovation within radiology and nuclear medicine.
• Support construction and renovation projects in NGMB department.
• Manage software use and AI applications within the department.
• Support bone density measurements (DEXA).
• Participate in procurement, risk analyses, and acceptance testing of new equipment.
• Coordinate radiation safety for research studies and KEW applications.
• Calibrate and quantify equipment for pharmacokinetic modelling (gamma counters, blood samplers).
• Contribute to post-therapy dosimetry calculations in radionuclide therapy.
• Supervise and support students, PhD candidates, and staff.
