Job description

Are you passionate about elevating clinical performance and supporting audiology professionals to deliver exceptional customer outcomes? Then we might have just the job for you at Specsavers.

At Specsavers, we're dedicated to making eye and hearing care accessible to all. As pioneers and a global leader in innovative technologies, we help people optimise their vision and hearing. We foster your expertise, welcome you into a supportive family, and propel your growth. Grounded in our collaboration, curiosity, courage, and compassion values, we strive to challenge the status quo and invite you to team up with us.

For our Dutch Support Office in Maarssen, we are currently looking to recruit a Clinical Performance Consultant Audiology to join our Professional Advancement team.

Your role

As a Clinical Performance Consultant, you'll play a key role in supporting our audiology professionals across the southern part of the Netherlands to strengthen both their clinical and commercial performance. You’ll ensure stores meet our professional quality standards and help our audiology professionals grow through coaching, guidance, and quality checks. You’ll work closely with the Professional Advancement Audiology team and, on a day-to-day basis, with the regional Field Support Team to understand store priorities, align support, and help translate insights into practical actions.

This is a great opportunity for an audicien ready to take the next step, even if you have not worked in a consultant role before. You’ll mainly work in the field or from home, with around one day a week at our office in Maarssen.

Your role will include the following:

  • Work closely with the retail team to define which stores need support and coaching
  • Conduct quality audits in stores and follow up with audiciens as needed
  • Use clinical KPIs to proactively identify and support areas of improvement
  • Be an expert in the customer journey and agenda management, helping audiciens identify blockers and recommend solutions
  • Take part in projects that support professional development and business growth
  • Build a strong understanding of our Specsavers partnership model, store operations, and the needs of our audiology professionals, so your support is both clinically strong and commercially relevant
Your new team

Joining the Professional Advancement Audiology team means becoming part of an ambitious, experienced group of audiology experts. You’ll work on a variety of tasks that support our stores and professionals – no two days are the same. We’re a close-knit team that values collaboration, continuous learning, and making a positive impact.

As part of Specsavers, you’ll be joining a dynamic, fast-growing business where change is constant and ambition is high. We’re passionate about delivering the best in everything we do – from eye and hearing care to how we support and develop our people.

You’ll collaborate with colleagues across different functions and regions, with a particularly close connection to the Field Support Team. Together, we’re committed to going the extra mile for our customers and one another.

We also offer a range of benefits designed to support your growth and wellbeing, including:

  • A smart, confident, and supportive team with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and nationalities
  • A flexible working environment, with occasional travel across Europe when required
  • Great training and development opportunities in a fast-paced, collaborative setting
  • The chance to contribute to business improvements across both our stores and support offices
  • A friendly culture and plenty of Specsavers traditions that make work enjoyable
  • A competitive salary that reflects your experience, plus a pension scheme and additional staff benefits
  • The opportunity to be part of a business making a real difference in the future of eye and hearing care
Your qualifications

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be passionate about developing others, confident in your expertise, and ready to take initiative. While previous consultancy experience is a plus, it’s not essential—we welcome applications from audiciens with at least 3 years of store experience who are ready for something new

We’re looking for someone who can bring:

  • Several years of experience as an StAr certified audicien
  • A natural ability to coach and communicate effectively with different audiences
  • A confident understanding of KPIs and how to turn them into practical store actions
  • A collaborative mindset and experience working cross-functionally
  • A thoughtful, professional way of working, with the ability to read situations well, understand different perspectives, and adapt your approach to what is needed in stores, teams, and the wider organisation
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
Your development

Within 3 months, you’ll:

  • Be onboarded and have met many of your new colleagues, as well as our partners and audiciens in stores
  • Gain a clear understanding of what it means to work at Specsavers
  • Support daily store operations by coaching and working with audiciens

Within 6–12 months, you’ll:

  • Run your own region in the southern part of the Netherlands
  • Understand how our business works, and what our priorities are
  • Be able to act as the go-to person for our audiciens and partners on clinical audiology topics
  • Deliver your first measurable improvements in store performance and professional development

Further development:

  • We have a strong focus on your personal development plan to make sure that your competencies and skills continue to be best in class
  • You can shape a career path within Specsavers that reflects your own ambitions and development journey.
  • You can grow professionally in an organisation that recognises your skills and personality.
