Job summary

Clean Harbors in Dolton, IL is seeking a Class A CDL Equipment Operator to operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks at customer sites, including vacuum trucks and roll-offs, with responsibilities on and off site related to hazardous waste cleanup.

The role requires 2+ years of Class A experience, ability to obtain Hazmat/Tanker endorsements, and willingness for emergency/project work including out-of-town assignments.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Must complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position.
• Facial hair standards per OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by following safe work practices.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as part of a team.
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Perform manual labor on site to meet customer needs.
• Properly placard vehicles to meet DOT requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and reports.
• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Operate vehicles according to DOT and company guidelines.
• Observe corporate safety guidelines.
