Job summary

TMC is seeking a Designer Civil Engineering to shape underground infrastructure projects across the Netherlands. You translate technical challenges into executable designs and connect engineering, execution, and project teams.

You will work with a close-knit team of engineers and designers, applying precise drafting in AutoCAD and Civil3D, ensuring designs are complete, accurate, and implementable in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil design across project phases.
• Ability to draft in AutoCAD/Civil3D to high accuracy.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop 2D and 3D civil designs from schematic to implementation.
• Provide advice on permits, technical choices, and implementation possibilities.
• Visit project sites for surveys and coordination.
• Create schedules and monitor progress and quality.
• Support cost estimations and technical justifications with the calculation team.
• Coordinate tasks within the engineering team.
• Verify documents and drawings conform to standards and guidelines.

What will you do?

In this role, you are responsible for developing civil engineering designs for various project phases, from schematic design to implementation design. You combine your technical insight with precise drafting work, ensuring designs are complete, accurate, and practically implementable.

• Developing 2D and 3D designs in AutoCAD and Civil3D;
• Providing advice on permits, technical choices, and implementation possibilities;
• Visiting project sites for surveys, consultations, and coordination;
• Creating schedules and monitoring progress and quality;
• Supporting cost estimations and technical justifications in collaboration with the calculation team;
• Coordinating tasks within the engineering team;
• Verifying that all documents and drawings comply with relevant standards and guidelines.

You will work in a close-knit team of engineers and designers and will be a visible point of contact in daily operations.
