Chief Technology Officer (CTO) - Renewables Energy - Utrecht

Company Overview:

I'm currently partnered with a leading renewable energy company based in Utrecht, committed to driving the transition to clean and sustainable energy sources.

As they're expanding their operations, they are seeking a CTO to lead their technology strategy and drive innovation within our organization.

Role Overview:

As the CTO, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's technological vision, strategies, and development efforts. You will lead a team of talented engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of our technology initiatives.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute the company's technology vision and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
2. Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and business stakeholders, to define technology requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
4. Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for technology adoption and investment.
5. Drive the development and implementation of scalable and robust software systems, with a strong focus on Node.js and related technologies.
6. Establish and maintain effective partnerships with external technology vendors and partners.
7. Drive a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the technology team.
8. Manage the technology budget and resources effectively.
9. Stay informed about relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the renewable energy sector.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. Extensive knowledge of software engineering principles, best practices, and modern software development methodologies.
3. Previous experience in the renewable energy or clean tech industry is highly desirable.
4. Experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams, including software engineers, architects, and product managers.
5. Strategic mindset.
6. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
