Job summary

Suitsupply seeks a Head of Product Development in Amsterdam to lead the full product creation process from concept to production, ensuring alignment with brand vision and commercial targets.

You will mentor the Product Development team and drive fabric and material innovation while partnering with Design, Sourcing, and Production to deliver industry-leading menswear. This role offers growth opportunities and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product development, preferably within menswear, tailoring, or premium fashion.
• Proven experience managing multi‑category product teams and large-scale development pipelines.
• Strong technical expertise in garment engineering, fit, fabrics, and finishing techniques.
• Deep understanding of global supply chains, including mills, factories, and sourcing markets.
• Proficiency in PLM systems and advanced Excel; Adobe Suite is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end product development process, ensuring alignment between growth strategy, design direction, and commercial needs.
• Guide pattern making and construction, refining patterns for optimal fit and manufacturability.
• Steer and manage the Product Development team, building capabilities and defining best practices.
• Drive fabric development by strengthening vendor partnerships and sourcing new suppliers.
• Set and improve development timelines to ensure on-time sample delivery and production handover.
• Partner with Design, Merchandising, Sourcing, and Buying to shape long-term product strategies.
• Act as the PLM system owner, guiding implementation and driving improvements with Centric partners.
• Champion product innovation through new materials, technologies, and construction methods.
• Monitor market and competitors to keep Suitsupply at the forefront of modern menswear.
