Job summary

Jaz in the City Amsterdam zoekt een Chief Engineer, oftewel Chief Backstage Engineer, die zorgt dat alle technische systemen van het hotel blijven draaien. Je leidt preventief en correctief onderhoud, coördineert installaties, inspecties en technische projecten en bewaakt veiligheid, duurzaamheid en kwaliteit.

As our Chief Engineer, you make sure everything keeps running smoothly. From preventive and corrective maintenance to installations, inspections, renovations and technical projects – you keep your finger on the pulse.

You lead, coach and inspire your team and make sure everyone knows what needs to be done, when it needs to happen and how we can do it even better.

You don't just keep the hotel running – you help us move forward.

Are you:

And you:

• have a technical background and at least 5 years of experience in a technical or maintenance department, preferably in a hotel or comparable environment;
• have experience in leading and coaching a technical team;
• know your way around technical installations, maintenance and building management;
• have experience with complex climate installations – that's a big plus;
• are organized, hands-on and know how to set the right priorities;
• have a service-minded attitude and understand that great hospitality starts behind the scenes;
• speak Dutch and English;
• are comfortable working with internal departments, suppliers, contractors and external partners;
• are available fulltime, with 4 days a week being negotiable.
