Job description
Change & Release Coordinator

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving seamless Software changes and releases? We are looking for a Change & Release Coordinator to own and optimize our deployment processes, ensuring stability and innovation go hand in hand. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love collaboration, and have a keen eye for risk management, this is your chance to make an impact.

What will you be doing:

As the Change & Release Coordinator you work within our Service Desk organisation. You work closely together with your experienced colleagues co-ordinating the various change activities across multiple sites. Your responsibility is ensuring correct processes and procedures are followed from root cause analyses through changes being accurately recorded, scheduled, controlled and communicated. Next to that, you take the lead when it comes to identifying areas for improvement and ensuring continuous improvement of all processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate global site deployments, manage release calendars, and ensure deployment timelines are met while addressing any potential delays.
  • Ensure alignment between the findings from the root cause analysis and the scope of the change.
  • Serve as the point of contact for customers regarding software changes, deployments, and escalations.
  • Collaborate with service and technology teams to prepare for and execute deployments, and create documentation for production deployments.
  • Oversee the execution of deployments, make Go/No-Go decisions, and manage the Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and documentation.
  • Lead service improvement initiatives, contribute to process improvements, and maintain documentation for all deployment and change management processes.

What do we ask from you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least 4 years of relevant working experience.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes, specifically incident, problem and change management along with release management.
  • Hands-on experience with ITSM tools such as Service Now or Jira.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC).
  • Proven experience project managing improvement projects with a focus.
  • Hands-on experience with continuous process improvement.
  • Strong planning, organizational, communication, and influencing skills, with a quality and results-driven mindset.

About the team:

In this role you will become part of the Service Deployment Group. The Service Deployment Group is responsible for the development, deployment and support of service products and capabilities with a focus on quality and effectiveness in service delivery.

In particular, you will join our Service Desk for Europe and Asia-Pacific. This department is responsible to deliver remote and onsite OT support for the complete Vanderlande portfolio on our customer-installed base. The service desk has a 24/7 shift schedule to respond to customer calls for service requests and incidents for EU & APAC. Next to this, the service desk has expert teams to investigate root-cause analysis or recurring incidents and execute deployment of new releases to our running systems.

What we offer:

In the challenging and responsible position of Change & Software Deployment Coordinator, you will have the chance to make a significant contribution to industry-leading projects and be connected to our dedicated people and customers. We offer a position in an informal, international and professional working environment with a lot of scope for personal development. By joining our profitable and growing company you will be able to reach your goals and focus on your future.

  • 40 vacation days (20 statutory days and a flexible budget worth 20 days).
  • Flexible working hours.
  • A hybrid workplace (40% working from home and 60% in the office).
  • A Health & Wellbeing budget worth €300 per calendar year.
  • Commuting allowance, including full reimbursement of travel by public transport.
  • Working from home allowance.
  • Collective pension scheme and discount on additional health insurance.
  • On-site company health centres with a gym, physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
  • Vanderlande Academy and training facilities to boost your skills.
  • A variety in Vanderlande Network communities and initiatives.
  • And a great company restaurant and coffee bar with barista.
