Job summary

GRIP is seeking welders for work in Rotterdam on ship repair and construction projects. Candidates must hold welding certificates (111/135/136/141), have real welding experience, VCA certification, and a valid Dutch BSN/work permit. English at level B1+ is required while Dutch is not necessary.

Role involves welding steel and stainless steel (stick/MAG/TIG), cutting, grinding, and reading drawings. Long-term employment with weekly pay; travel allowance and safety gear provided.

Qualifications

• Experience as welder with one of the listed certificates; projects vary from ship repair to construction.
• Must have welding certificates 111/135/136 or 141 and VCA.
• English level at least B1; Dutch not required.
• BSN/work permit required to work in the Netherlands.
• Driving licence B is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Weld steel and stainless steel with stick, MAG or TIG as project dictates.
• Cut steel by machine and with hand torch.
• Grind welds and prepare edges for finishing.
• Work from drawings and complete set-out to final weld with foreman.
