Job summary

East Carolina University is seeking several Studio Assistants to support the ceramics area in Jenkins Fine Arts Center. The role involves maintaining the instructional space, assisting with facilities operations, and contributing to the educational mission of the studio.

Experience with ceramics equipment is beneficial; the position may require evening and/or weekend hours to meet the needs of the studio and its students.

Qualifications

• GPA Requirement Minimum of 2.0

Responsibilities

• Clean and organize instructional area, sinks, and common shelves.
• Clean and organize common tables, wheels, slab roller, kiln furniture shelves, and common shelves.
• Check and report status of survey room to instructors.
• Check and report status of kiln room and glaze room to instructors.
• Check and report status of floors to keep dust levels at a minimum. Clean up all spills, pick up and mop as regularly.
