Job summary

Nutreco in Stavanger, Norway, seeks a Specialist Cell Biologist for Cell Feed on a long‑term temporary basis. You will develop and test cell culture media for mammalian cells, optimize formulations, and generate high‑quality data to advance our cell feed initiatives.

The role requires hands‑on lab work with 2D/3D models, strong design and communication skills, and collaboration with internal and external partners within Skretting's Biotechnology team. Locally based in Stavanger, Norway.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and sterile lab techniques.
• Strong experimental design, statistics, and data interpretation skills.
• Experience in cell culture media development and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and apply 2D and 3D cell culture models.
• Develop and optimize tailor-made cell culture media for different cell types.
• Test premixes and functional ingredients across relevant cell models.
• Plan and conduct cell nutrition research and interpret experimental outcomes.
• Independently plan, prioritize, execute, troubleshoot, and document experiments.
• Develop, optimize, and implement new laboratory methods and techniques.
