Job summary

Carrière Uitzendbureau zoekt een Cargo Agent in Schiphol. Je houdt import- en exportstromen operationeel, verwerkt vrachtdocumenten en controleert zendingen. Je onderhoudt contacten met chauffeurs en luchtvaartmaatschappijen en bereidt vluchten voor.

Het werk kent een driewijsdienstenschema (24/7): 06:30–14:30, 14:30–22:30 en 22:30–06:30, met verloofings- en toeslagen. Salaris €17,99–€23,14 per uur bruto, inclusief extra’s.

Qualifications

• Relevante administratieve ervaring.
• Nauwkeurig en met een servicegerichte, no-nonsense mentaliteit.
• Flexibel en bereid in shifts te werken (dag, avond en nacht).
• Beschikbaar in het weekend.
• Goede beheersing van Nederlands en Engels, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk.
• In staat om een Verklaring van Geen Bezwaar (VGB) te verkrijgen via ons aanvraagproces.

Responsibilities

• Verwerken van vrachtdocumenten en nauwkeurig registreren in ons systeem.
• Controleren van zendingen op naleving van regels en vereisten.
• Opstellen van douane documenten om import en export soepel te laten verlopen.
• Handling van gevaarlijke goederen volgens voorschriften.
• Contact met luchtvaartmaatschappijen voor informatie over zendingen.
• Kantoorwerk met chauffeurs en afwikkeling van documenten.
• Toezicht houden op vliegvoorbereiding en vertrekgereedheid.

Become a Cargo Agent at the Cargo Office department at Schiphol and keep the administration behind the import and export flow running. You process freight documents, check shipments, and liaise with drivers and airlines. € 17.99 to € 23.14 gross per hour, with shift allowances up to 200% and room to grow. Good work!

Over de vacature:

As a Cargo Agent at Schiphol, you play a key role in keeping import and export processes running smoothly. The pace is high and accurate work is at the core, especially with customs and dangerous goods. Your main tasks:

• Processing freight documents: you handle acceptance and enter them accurately into our system
• Checking shipments: you carry out thorough checks so every shipment meets the requirements and rules
• Preparing customs documents: you help draw up the right documents so import and export run without delay
• Handling dangerous goods: you take care of shipments containing hazardous materials
• Liaising with airlines: as a point of contact, you provide information on shipments and answer questions
• Desk work with drivers: you process their documents and ensure smooth cooperation
• Preparing flights: you oversee the process and make sure flights are fully ready for departure

You work in a three-shift rotation, so the operation runs 24/7:

• 06:30 – 14:30
• 14:30 – 22:30
• 22:30 – 06:30

Wat wij vragen:

• You have relevant administrative experience
• You work accurately and with a service-oriented, no-nonsense mentality
• You are flexible and willing to work in shifts (day, evening, and night)
• You are available on weekends
• Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
• You can obtain a Certificate of No Objection (VGB), which we will apply for on your behalf. This requires you to have been registered within the EU for at least 8 consecutive years.
