Job summary

EMW in The Hague, NL is seeking a Software Development Engineer to support the SHAPE Gap Analysis ECPS against the ASIM Passive Sensor and Sensor Control systems. The role is on-site full-time with a 100% on-site time.

Required: active NATO SECRET clearance, strong C/C++ and Git skills, solid Unix experience, and adherence to software engineering best practices, testing, and documentation. Start 23 November 2026; contract ends 31 December 2026.

Duties & Role:

Support the implementation of the SHAPE Gap Analysis Engineering Change Proposals (ECPS) against the internal ASIM Passive Sensor and ASIM Sensor Control.

Skill, Knowledge & Experience:

• The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
• Solid experience in SW development using C/C++ and experience with Git version control
• Good understanding and application of software engineering best practices, testing, and documentation,
• Several years of Unix experience
• Good teamworking skills

Desirable:

• Experience in real time air domain application for Sensor / TDL / Flight plan
• Understanding of (Radar) Interfaces,
• Network configuration, debugging troubleshooting (TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, firewall, DNS, …)
