Gravity Gardens in Nijmegen, Netherlands, is seeking a high‑agency, execution‑driven business development leader to work directly with the CEO and turn ideas into real outcomes.
You will own follow‑through, prepare briefing notes, and build high‑quality materials for partners, customers, and investors while wearing many hats across sales, ops, and execution in a fast, ambiguity‑tolerant environment.
Gravity Gardens is a VC backed agri-tech company solving one of agriculture's biggest problems: bringing technology that has been reserved for the top 1% to the whole market. Our technology was incubated through the European Space Agency, and is moving into commercial rollout across Europe, Africa, and the US.
We are a small, fast moving team led by a highly entrepreneurial CEO. This is a high-agency, execution-focused role, working directly with the CEO to drive business development from idea through to outcome. This is not a purely strategic or relationship-management role — it's hands-on, get-it-done work for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and takes ownership.
Drive business development forward: turn conversations and opportunities into clear next steps and real outcomes
Own follow-through: make sure every meeting ends with clear action items and fast execution
Support the CEO externally: prepare briefing notes, sit in on key meetings, track decisions and risks
Support CEO effectiveness: manage his calendar, make sure he walks in with the right context and materials
Create high-quality materials: memos, emails, proposals, decks for partners, customers, and investors
Research the seed industry directly: call farmers and companies to truly understand it
Wear many hats across sales, operations, and execution
Travel as needed to partner meetings, customer visits, and key events
High agency, self-starter, relentless executor with a go-getter attitude
Solved genuinely hard problems more than once, and can prove it
Strategic thinker with strong communication and writing skills
Highly organized, comfortable with ambiguity, low ego, high ownership
Gets things done through other people, not just through personal effort
3-8 years of experience in business development, partnerships, startup roles, or fast-paced consulting
Experience working closely with senior leadership or founders is a plus; agricultural experience is a plus
Work on a mission bigger than yourself, with the impact to help millions worldwide
Direct work with the CEO on high-impact initiatives, not one narrow function
Fast-paced environment with meaningful responsibility early
A real path to helping run the company as it scales
