Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Amsterdam is seeking an Operations Analytics professional to translate data into actionable business insights and to partner with leadership to define KPIs and metrics aligned with business objectives.

This role is based out of our Amsterdam office. We are an office-first company and value in-person collaboration; we do not offer remote-only roles.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years in an analytical/business role.
• Proven ability to drive initiatives in a structured, accountable way.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Looker/LookML.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence.
• Comfort translating business needs into data requests for engineers.

Our dedicated team of data analysts, engineers and business analysts is committed to empowering operational teams to make strategic and data-driven decisions on a global scale. We are structured into subject matter areas, with analysts focusing on Merchant Operations, Support, Professional Services, & Supply Chain, ensuring deep expertise and tailored insights within each area, driving operational excellence and informed decision-making. What you’ll do

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of business processes to solve critical problems and ensure analysis efforts are effectively targeted.

• Master the art of storytelling by connecting data to a narrative, evolving from step-by-step analytical plans to complex stories that provide actionable advice.

• Partner with leadership to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and select metrics that align specifically with business strategy and objectives.

• Act as a bridge between the business and technical teams, translating complex requirements into clear requests for data engineering.

• Redesign recurring operational issues into scalable, long-term solutions by clarifying stakeholder needs and anticipating future requirements.

• Independently separate main issues from secondary noise, ensuring that every analysis remains focused on the core business question.

• Manage project stakeholders proactively, identifying necessary collaborators and keeping them informed through structured communication and documentation.

Who you are

• You possess at least 4 years of relevant working experience in an analytical or business-focused environment.

• You are an independent and enthusiastic problem-solver who thrives when navigating the ambiguity of stakeholder requests.

• You have a proven track record in project management, with the ability to drive initiatives in a structured and accountable manner.

• You are highly proficient in writing complex SQL queries and have extensive experience with BI tools, specifically Looker and LookML.

• You are a confident communicator, able to influence decision-makers by articulating data-driven recommendations clearly.

• You have the technical mindset to identify the best solutions for technical problems while building strong relationships with multicultural teams.
