Job summary

Adaptfy, part of the SHV family and a joint venture with Metyis, is seeking a Business Analysis Associate to join its Data & Analytics team in Amsterdam. The role focuses on eliciting requirements, modelling business processes, and delivering BRDs and user stories in a fast-growing analytics environment.

You will collaborate with product, project, and engineering teams, facilitate workshops, and ensure traceability from discovery to adoption.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Business Analysis, Consulting, Product Delivery, or digital transformation.
• Strong BA methodologies, requirements management, and process modelling.
• Experience eliciting and documenting requirements across business and tech.
• Analytical and structured problem-solving to simplify complex challenges.
• Experience facilitating workshops with business and tech stakeholders.
• Produce high-quality documentation including BRDs and user stories.
• Experience in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery.
• Bachelor's/Master's in a related field; professional English proficiency.
• Willingness to travel; Dutch language knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and teams to understand objectives and processes.
• Lead requirements elicitation via workshops, interviews, and sessions.
• Analyze processes to identify optimization, automation, and digital transformation.
• Document requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business rules.
• Produce BRDs, functional specs, flow diagrams, use cases, and decision logs.
• Bridge business needs and delivery teams to translate requirements into solutions.
• Coordinate with Product, Project, Scrum, Architects, Engineers, Designers, and QA.
• Support backlog refinement, testing, UAT, and change impact assessments.
• Ensure traceability from discovery through adoption.
• Identify risks, assumptions, dependencies, and issues; escalate appropriately.
• Build relationships with business and tech stakeholders across functions.
• Facilitate workshops, reviews, walkthroughs, and demonstrations.
• Communicate progress with clear docs and presentations.
• Support clients through change and adoption with structured analysis.
• Contribute to Delivery Excellence standards and BA best practices.

What you will do

• Work closely with clients and internal teams to understand business objectives, challenges, and operational processes.

• Lead requirements elicitation activities through workshops, interviews, process analysis, and stakeholder engagement sessions.

• Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement.

• Document and maintain business, functional, and non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and process models.

• Produce high-quality project artefacts including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, use cases, and decision logs.

• Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring business needs are accurately translated into solution requirements.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Project Managers, Scrum Masters, Architects, Engineers, Designers, and QA teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Support backlog refinement, solution validation, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and change impact assessments.

• Ensure requirements traceability from discovery through implementation and business adoption.

• Identify business risks, assumptions, dependencies, and issues, escalating where appropriate.

• Build trusted relationships with business and technology stakeholders across multiple functions.

• Facilitate workshops, requirement reviews, process walkthroughs, and solution demonstrations.

• Communicate business needs, recommendations, and delivery progress through clear documentation and presentations.

• Support clients through business change and solution adoption by providing structured analysis and recommendations.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, delivery standards, and Business Analysis best practices within the Delivery Excellence capability.

What you will bring

• 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Consulting, Product Delivery, Digital Transformation, PMO, or related delivery roles.

• Strong understanding of Business Analysis methodologies, requirements management, business process modelling, and solution lifecycle management.

• Demonstrated experience eliciting and documenting business, functional, and non-functional requirements.

• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex business challenges.

• Experience facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders across business and technology functions.

• Ability to produce high-quality business documentation including BRDs, user stories, process maps, use cases, workflow diagrams, and functional specifications.

• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.

• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while working in a consulting or client-facing environment.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Professional proficiency in English.

• Willingness to travel based on client and project requirements.

• Experience supporting Digital Transformation, Digital Commerce, Enterprise Technology, Data & Analytics, AI, ERP, CRM, Cloud, or business transformation programmes.

• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Miro, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar collaboration platforms.

• Basic knowledge of SQL, APIs, data modelling, reporting, Business Intelligence, or analytics concepts.

• Familiarity with business process modelling standards such as BPMN or UML.

• Exposure to Product Management, Project Management, Agile Delivery, Change Management, or Business Architecture.

• Professional certifications such as ECBA/CCBA (IIBA), Agile, Scrum, SAFe, PRINCE2 Foundation, or equivalent.

• Knowledge of Dutch or additional European languages is advantageous depending on client engagements.
