Job summary

Sentior, Ltd. is supporting Vattenfall Amsterdam in a 12-month CEP Digital Program, seeking a Business Analyst to translate business needs into clear requirements and strengthen business case development and tracking.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across IT, digital engineering and project management to ensure benefits are realized and aligned with CEP Digital targets. You will drive the creation and validation of business cases, manage dependencies, and refine requirements for solution

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business analysis and requirements management in energy or asset-intensive environments.
• Proven experience with business case development, benefit logic and tracking in digital/transformation programs.
• Ability to work with qualitative and quantitative value drivers such as cost savings, revenue uplift and operational performance.
• Strong analytical skills to identify dependencies across scope, solution, timing and benefits.
• Experience facilitating requirements and value workshops with stakeholders across IT, business and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Drive business case development for CEP Digital initiatives, including assumptions, baselines, cost/benefit drivers and timing.
• Identify and document business case dependencies between CEP Digital projects.
• Support both quantitative and qualitative value definition (opex savings, capex, revenue uplift, etc.).
• Set up and maintain business case tracking with regular reviews of benefits, risks and scope changes.
• Translate changes in scope or timing into updated business case impacts; communicate to project teams.
• Refine requirements and align with stakeholders so they are traceable and testable by delivery teams.
• Develop requirements as input to solution selection, tender prep and planning for CEP Digital initiatives.
• Shape change management plans to ensure business change is rolled out and linked to benefits.

To support this program scope, we are looking for an experienced Business Analyst who can translate business needs into clear requirements and strengthen the development, validation and tracking of the associated business cases.As Business Analyst, you will work for the program connecting specific initiatives under the umbrella of the CEP Digital Program, such as Monitoring & Control, Asset Information Management and Maintenance Planning & Work Execution. You will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, product owners, controlling, architects, our client IT and Digital Engineering to ensure that requirements, business value, delivery scope, costs, dependencies and benefit assumptions remain connected throughout the program.What You Will Do- Drive business case development for the program and specific CEP Digital initiatives, including assumptions, baselines, cost/benefit drivers, timing and linkage to CEP Digital targets.- Identify and document business case dependencies, including dependencies between CEP Digital projects.- Support both quantitative and qualitative value definition, including OPEX savings, CAPEX implications, revenue uplift, prevented costs, operational stability, compliance, health and safety, people enablement and future competitiveness.- Set up and maintain business case tracking, ensuring that benefit assumptions, milestones, risks, dependencies, scope changes and cost updates are regularly reviewed and reflected in project and program reporting.- Ensure that changes in project scope, timing, solution approach or implementation readiness are translated into updated business case impacts and clearly communicated to project and program management.- Drive requirements refinement and alignment with affected stakeholders, ensuring that requirements are prioritised, traceable to business objectives and specific enough to be delivered and tested by project or agile delivery teams.- Develop requirements as input to solution selection, tender preparation, project tollgate decisions and implementation planning for CEP Digital initiatives in scope.- Participate in shaping change management strategies and plans to ensure that business change is successfully rolled out, embedded and linked to benefit realisation.Expected Deliverables / End Results- Requirements specifications and business analysis reports for the CEP Digital initiatives in scope.- Business case descriptions for assigned initiatives, including qualitative and quantitative value logic, baseline assumptions, cost and benefit drivers, dependencies and uncertainty levels.- Business case updates and validation input for CEP Digital project and program reporting, including impact of scope, planning, cost, dependency and benefit changes.- Input to solution selection, procurement and governance decisions, ensuring that requirements and business value remain connected.- Clear documentation of assumptions, open questions, risks and dependencies that affect benefit realisation and business case credibility.What We Are Looking ForYour English is strong, both verbally and written.In addition, the following qualifications are important for this position:- Proven experience in business analysis and requirements management in the energy sector or another asset-intensive environment.- Proven experience with business case development, benefit logic, baseline definition, assumption management and benefits tracking in digital or transformation programs.- Ability to work with both qualitative and quantitative value drivers, including cost savings, cost avoidance, revenue uplift and operational performance.- Strong analytical skills to identify dependencies between scope, solution choices, implementation timing, data availability, operating model changes and benefit realisation.- Proven experience facilitating requirements and value-related workshops, including requirements gathering, refinement, prioritisation, approval, business case validation and benefit review sessions.- Experience in and understanding of corporate IT landscapes, digital delivery organisations and the interaction between business, IT and engineering stakeholders.- Knowledge of renewable energy, asset maintenance, monitoring and control, asset data, financial reporting or program governance is preferred.Your Personal Characteristics- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex business, technical and financial topics in an understandable way to non-technical stakeholders.- Structured, analytical and comfortable working with uncertainty, assumptions and incomplete information.- Able to challenge constructively and keep requirements, scope, costs and benefits connected when priorities change.- Stress-resistant and able to prioritise and focus in a program environment with multiple initiatives and dependencies.- A quick learner with a hands-on attitude who is willing to take responsibility and continuously develop.- Team player with excellent cooperation skills, able to work across different cultures, functions and organisational levels.- Consulting skills to advise stakeholders on the way forward while maintaining transparency on assumptions, risks and trade-offs.EducationRelevant degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration, Finance, Enterprise Automation or related field.Languages- English — Professional working proficiency
