Job summary

Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam is seeking a Food & Beverage Breakfast Waiter/Waitress to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while working to achieve departmental targets. You will Welcome guests, take orders, set up tables, and ensure cleanliness and brand standards are upheld.

The ideal candidate has previous F&B experience, a positive attitude, fluent Dutch and English, strong communication, and a morning-oriented, flexible approach.

Qualifications

• Previous Food & Beverage and/or industry experience
• Positive attitude
• Excellent in Dutch and English language both spoken and written
• Good communication skills
• A morning person
• Flexible attitude and willing to assist in other departments
• Residence and working permit for the Netherlands
• Commitment to delivering high levels of customer service
• Excellent grooming standards
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
• Ability to work on your own or in teams
• Experience with cash handling and knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner
• Take and deliver customer orders, consistently demonstrating high levels of customer service
• Prepare set ups for tables and/or rooms
• Follow cash handling procedures
• Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
• Up-sell with latest departmental incentives
• Ensure compliance of brand standards
• Strive to achieve departmental targets
• Ensure cleanliness of work areas
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
• Comply with local licensing laws
• Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
