Job summary

Elekta AB in the Netherlands seeks a Brachytherapy Specialist to install, commission and upgrade brachytherapy systems at customer sites. You will troubleshoot complex issues, perform preventive maintenance, and deliver technical training to customers, distributors, and field service engineers.

Based in Veenendaal, you will report to the Brachy Installation Manager and travel internationally up to 75% to support projects across Europe.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in field service, installations or medical tech.
  • Tech knowledge of electronics, networking, PCs and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a hands-on approach.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.
  • Additional language skills are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 75%.

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission and upgrade brachytherapy systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, source exchanges, repairs and actions.
  • Troubleshoot electronic, mechanical and network issues.
  • Own customer support cases and ensure timely resolution.
  • Deliver technical training to customers, distributors and field engineers.
  • Support development and improvement of training programs and materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project execution.
  • Handle radioactive sources per safety regulations and procedures.
  • Maintain documentation and administrative records promptly.
  • Provide feedback to improve products and services.
  • Contribute to learning, operations, and customer satisfaction.

Brachytherapy Specialist
What you'd do at Elekta
  • Install, commission and upgrade Elekta brachytherapy systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance, source exchanges, repairs, and corrective actions
  • Troubleshoot complex electronic, mechanical, and network-related issues
  • Take ownership of customer support cases and ensure timely resolutionDeliver technical training to customers, distributors, and field service engineers
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of training programs and materials
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Handle radioactive sources in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete administrative requirements in a timely manner
  • Provide technical feedback and recommendations to support product and service improvements
  • Contribute to continuous learning, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in field service, installations, technical support, or medical technology environments.
  • Technical knowledge of electronics, networking, PC systems, and troubleshooting are an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a hands-on approach.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Additional language skills are considered an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 75% of the time.
