Job summary

Lonza Group Ltd. in Geleen, The Netherlands is seeking a Biotech Associate to contribute to the manufacturing of advanced cell therapy products in a GMP cleanroom.

This hands-on role requires precision, teamwork and a quality mindset, with opportunities to grow manufacturing and technical expertise within a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Completed laboratory training, vocational education or a bachelor's degree in biotechnology, biology or a related field.
• Ideally 2 years of experience working in a GMP cleanroom environment.
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform cell and tissue culture activities according to GMP procedures.
• Execute manufacturing steps such as media preparation, cell expansion and harvesting.
• Work in a cleanroom environment while following strict aseptic techniques.
• Complete production documentation accurately and on time.
• Identify and report deviations to help ensure compliance and product quality.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing team.
• Collaborate with QA, QC and MSAT teams to support efficient manufacturing operations.

The full‑time annual base pay for this position in The Netherlands is expected to range between €32.250 and €45.150. Initial salary placement within this range will be determined based on role‑related factors such as experience, qualifications, and expected contribution.

What we are looking for

• Strong attention to detail and a quality‑focused mindset.
• Ability to follow procedures accurately and work in a structured manner.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to work in a shift pattern, including evenings and weekends.
• A valid driver's license is required due to limited public transport availability during shift hours.
