Moonwatt designs and builds battery energy storage systems. We are expanding our engineering team to certify and produce our next generation of products.

The Applications Engineer will validate, document, and qualify hardware and systems, bridging product development and customer applications with room to grow scope and ownership. The role covers hardware validation, systems engineering, and customer deployments, with opportunities to lead pilot projects and field validation activities across

Qualifications

• Strong electrical engineering background with hands-on component testing.
• 3–5 years of experience in power systems and product design.
• Exposure to UL or IEC compliance processes is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Source, test, qualify and dimension components for BMS and power electronics.
• Design and validate wiring harnesses and enclosures and integrate DC-DC converters.
• Lead compliance research related to UL, IEC and other standards.
• Own systems engineering calculations for energy, operating windows and power limits.
• Bridge hardware, firmware and software teams on capabilities and trade-offs.
