Overview

Citi Banking is actively seeking highly motivated Placement Analysts to join its Investment Banking team in Amsterdam. This placement offers an immersive experience of up to 6 months, commencing in July 2026. The Investment Banking group advises corporate clients, assists them in raising capital within financial markets, and provides strategic support for complex financial transactions. As a Placement Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financial restructurings, as well as the underwriting and distribution of equity, debt, and derivative securities.

We are deeply committed to providing comprehensive training and practical exposure to the intricacies of investment banking. The duration of this placement is designed for up to 6 months, offering a significant learning and development opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Diligently collect and thoroughly analyse company information to support transaction execution, including conducting in-depth industry research and meticulously organizing financial data.
  • Perform detailed financial data analysis and develop sophisticated financial models, encompassing company valuations, discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, financing structures, and comparative analyses.
  • Create and finalize compelling new business development presentations that effectively communicate strategic insights and proposals.
  • Efficiently coordinate tasks and workflow with both internal teams and external working groups, ensuring seamless project execution and timely delivery.
  • Prepare all necessary internal documentation, including adherence to control and compliance regulations, to ensure operational integrity and regulatory alignment.
