Job summary

Wand AI is hiring a backend-leaning full-stack engineer to own the backend and data layer of a greenfield, customer-facing product. You will make core system-design calls, shape the stack, and ship end-to-end with architectural ownership.

The role emphasizes building in an AI-driven workflow and delivering real value at scale. You will work in a high-velocity environment, collaborate across frontend and backend, and leverage Claude Code as a core part of how you ship, not just as an assist.

Qualifications

• Strong backend fundamentals with ability to make architectural calls.
• Full-stack capability to ship features end-to-end.
• Experience building customer-facing products, preferably in a startup.
• Fluent with AI coding tools and modern software workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own backend architecture end-to-end for a greenfield product.
• Design data structures and system architecture for scale.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs; stack includes Go/Node.js.
• Contribute to the frontend when needed; ship across the stack.
• Take ownership from approach to delivery in a fast-moving setting.
• Work in an AI-driven workflow using Claude Code as a core tool.
