Overview

Backend developer (Medior). We operate an in-house payroll platform and are starting a new greenfield project for the third version of our platform. The team is based in Haarlem and values a fun, relaxed office culture with regular social activities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and improvement of the PHP-based payroll platform in an Agile team.
• Collaborate across DevOps responsibilities as part of delivering a scalable digital product.
• Analyse requirements, implement robust solutions, and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality.
• Guide and assist other developers as needed to achieve project goals.

Qualifications

• Overall experience in a PHP development environment for at least 3-5 years.
• Expertise in PHP, SQL, SOAP, REST APIs; experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel.
• Comfortable with Composer; knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, AJAX.
• Experience with Git, Linux and Bash scripting; experience with unit testing.
• Understanding of design patterns and willingness to follow and improve existing patterns.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset; eager to learn and adapt to new technologies; able to work in a team with deadlines.
