Job summary

Eneco offers a Data Analytics Intern role in the B2B Analytics team in Rotterdam. You will help understand how business customers use digital channels, create Google Analytics reports, and update Power BI dashboards, with guidance from experienced analysts.

You will work on customer journey measurement and recurring performance reporting, learning analytics craft while delivering reliable work with visible value. Hybrid work is possible, and the office is in Rotterdam.

Qualifications

• You are enrolled in a relevant higher-education programme and pursuing data analytics, data science or related fields.
• You have a basic understanding of data analysis, reporting and data visualisation.
• You are interested in digital analytics, customer journeys and how data informs products and decisions.
• You work carefully, value quality, and complete tasks responsibly.
• You communicate clearly, ask questions when unclear, and are eager to learn from feedback.
• You are comfortable with Excel; SQL, Power BI or Google Analytics are helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Create standard Google Analytics reports, simple funnels and recurring metric summaries.
• Support customer journey measurement by documenting events, parameters and measurement coverage.
• Answer basic digital analytics questions using defined methods.
• Update and maintain simple Power BI reports under guidance of a Data Analyst.
• Test analytics implementations, validate naming conventions and log data-quality issues.
• Maintain flow inventories, metric definitions, trackers and analytics documentation.
• Share findings clearly and seek feedback to improve the work.

As a Data Analytics Intern in our B2B Analytics team, you will help us better understand how business customers use our digital channels and where we can improve their experience. You will work on clearly scoped analytics activities, such as reporting, quality checks, documentation and simple analyses. You will receive guidance from experienced Data Analysts, while also getting room to learn, ask questions and gradually take ownership of your work.

Your work will support areas such as customer journey measurement, Mijn Eneco Zakelijk and recurring performance reporting. The team remains responsible for analytics strategy, complex analysis and final decisions, so you can focus on learning the craft and delivering reliable work with visible value.

• You have a basic understanding of data analysis, reporting and data visualisation.
• You are interested in digital analytics, customer journeys and how data improves products and business decisions.
• You work carefully, have an eye for quality and feel responsible for finishing agreed tasks.
• You communicate clearly, ask questions when something is unclear and are eager to learn from feedback.
• You are comfortable with Excel. Experience with SQL, Power BI or Google Analytics is helpful, but not required.

Important: Candidates must have a valid Dutch BSN (Citizen Service Number) and a registered residential address in the Netherlands before the start of the internship.

You will join the B2B Analytics team within Eneco. We are a small, collaborative team that works closely with product teams and business stakeholders to turn data into insights and measurable improvements for B2B customers. We value curiosity, ownership, transparency and helping each other grow.

You will work with Data Analysts who can coach you in both technical skills and analytical thinking. You will also be part of Eneco’s wider Data Analytics community, where analysts share knowledge, approaches and examples from across the organisation.

You will work from our modern office in Rotterdam, within walking distance of metro and train station Rotterdam Alexander. Hybrid working is possible.
