Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment is seeking an Azure Security Engineer to own the security of a live Azure platform, focusing on Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, and Sentinel. You will implement security controls, write KQL, and shape the security posture alongside IaC and DevOps practices.

Based in Amsterdam with a hybrid setup, you will collaborate in design sessions, deployments, and DR tests while advancing a platform built for regulated environments and AI-driven innovation.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Azure infrastructure or cloud engineering with security focus.
• In-depth Entra ID capabilities: RBAC, CA, PIM, identity governance.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Defender for Cloud; write KQL.
• IaC with Terraform; Azure DevOps pipelines; PowerShell.
• Strong Azure networking knowledge and private endpoints.
• Experience with software supply chain security and vulnerability management.
• Fluent English (Dutch a plus).

Responsibilities

• Own the security of a live Azure platform and build it end-to-end.
• Lead identity security through Entra ID and access controls.
• Develop with Terraform, Azure DevOps, Ansible, and PowerShell for deployment.
• Implement posture using Defender for Cloud and Sentinel; write custom KQL.
• Participate in design sessions, deployments, and disaster recovery tests.
• Work three days a week in the Amsterdam office; rest remote from wherever you work best.
