Job summary

Shimano Europe Group (SEG) is seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines connecting SAP S/4HANA and other systems to our Azure data platform, while supporting day-to-day data needs and continuous improvement.

You will design and optimize Azure SQL databases and ADF pipelines, handle incidents, deploy with CI/CD and Azure DevOps, and collaborate across teams to ensure data accuracy and scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as a Data Engineer or similar in a cloud environment.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA data models or ERP integrations.
• Strong SQL/T-SQL skills and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines connecting SAP S/4HANA and other systems to Azure.
• Design, manage and optimize Azure SQL Databases for ETL with various schemas.
• Create and orchestrate ADF pipelines for data movement and scheduling.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency and ready-for-use delivery across systems.
• Handle incidents, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvements.
• Deploy with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps; document decisions and dependencies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
