Job summary

Lely invites interns to explore autonomous navigation through simulation and synthetic data generation for its mobile robots. You will work on cross-disciplinary engineering within the Navigation team at the Maassluis campus, contributing to data collection, benchmarking, and software integration.

Qualifications

• Education in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Strong interest in mobile robotics, software development, and mechatronics.
• Experience with simulation environments or willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of Python and/or C++.
• Experience with Linux.
• Basic understanding of Machine Learning concepts.
• Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Understand datasets and sensor information required for autonomous navigation.
• Set up and develop a simulation environment for Lely mobile robots.
• Generate synthetic datasets for training and benchmarking navigation algorithms.
• Collaborate with software, electronics, and hardware engineers within the Navigation team.
• Test, validate, and document findings and recommendations for future development.
