Job summary

Summa College seeks an Automotive Instructor to guide MBO students (levels 2–4) toward becoming skilled automotive technicians in a modern Eindhoven workshop.

You will coach students in practical assignments, connect theory to practice, and foster a safe, engaging learning environment while supporting hybrid teaching and ongoing development within Summa Automotive.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive technology and diagnostics.
• Mentoring and guiding students in a learning environment.
• Willingness to obtain an instructor qualification if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Guide MBO students (levels 2–4) in their development into skilled automotive technicians.
• Provide practice-oriented instruction in a modern workshop and link theory to practice.

Your impact as an Automotive Instructor You guide MBO students (levels 2 to 4) in their development into skilled automotive technicians. You make a difference through practice-oriented education in a modern workshop. You prepare students for a future in the automotive sector.

This is what you will do as an Automotive Instructor You coach and guide students in the workshop and during practical assignments. You provide practice-oriented instruction and link theory to practice. You motivate students to develop, both professionally and personally. You ensure a safe, modern, and well-functioning workplace. As an Automotive Instructor, you will carry out your duties within Summa Automotive at the Eindhoven location. You work with a close-knit team of approximately 6-10 colleagues and report to the team leader.

This is what we offer you Work in a modern 750 m² workshop with up-to-date vehicles and equipment. A close-knit team and a dedicated buddy who guides you during your first year. Plenty of development opportunities, for example towards teacher (LB). A salary in accordance with the MBO collective labor agreement, instructor scale A, B or C, between €2.650 and €4.948 gross per month based on full-time). A fixed-term contract with the intention of extension. Year-end bonus of 8,33%, ABP pension fund, a laptop and phone on loan. Opportunity for hybrid teaching (combination with practice-based work).

This is what we expect from you You have completed a relevant education at MBO-4 or HBO level. You have experience in automotive technology and diagnostics. You contribute to a positive and practice-oriented learning environment. You are willing to obtain an instructor's qualification (if not yet in possession).
