Job summary

LRQA is seeking a Lead Auditor Automotive to plan and deliver independent audits against ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, acting as a trusted technical expert for clients. You will assess management systems, identify improvement opportunities, and support certification efforts while building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience with IATF 16949 audit processes and automotive quality systems.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, automotive, chemistry, or related field.
• Fluent in Dutch and English for client interactions and reporting.

Job description

We’re looking for automotive quality professionals at different stages of their auditing career. You may already be an experienced or qualified IATF 16949 Automotive Auditor, or an experienced Quality Engineer looking to take the next step into auditing and develop your expertise with a global organisation.

Role Purpose:

As a Lead Auditor Automotive, you will be responsible for planning and delivering independent audits of automotive quality management systems against ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards. Acting as a trusted technical expert, you will assess the effectiveness of management systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and support clients in achieving and maintaining certification requirements.

Through your expertise in automotive quality processes, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC, you will help organisations strengthen operational performance, enhance product quality, and drive continual improvement. The role also focuses on building strong client relationships, providing professional insight and guidance, and contributing to the growth and reputation of the business through the delivery of high-quality assurance services.

• At least 4 years of experience within the automotive industry (OEM, Tier 1, or Tier 2) out of the last 15 years.
• A background in Quality, Quality Assurance, or Certification.
• Bachelor's or master's degree (engineering, automotive, chemistry etc).
• Fluent in Dutch & English.
