Job description

We are currently looking for skilled ATEX Inspectors to join our team for diverse projects and long-term positions across the Netherlands

As an ATEX Inspector, you play a crucial role in ensuring that electrical instrumentation and installations comply with laws and regulations. In potentially explosive environments, safety comes first – your expertise ensures that equipment never presents a spark hazard.

Using a tablet, you’ll plan and document inspections, and if you encounter non‑compliance, you record it with photos and communicate directly with the client. You work closely with the ATEX Consultant to maintain the highest safety and quality standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Verify the compliance of electrical instrumentation and installations with legal requirements
• Inspect equipment such as flowmeters, gas detectors, analytical instruments, and site lighting
• Use a tablet for information access, planning, and inspection registration
• Document non‑compliance issues with photos and communicate findings to the client
• Collaborate closely with the ATEX Consultant for review and quality assurance

What We Expect From You

• Vocational education (MBO level 2, 3 or 4) in Electrical Engineering
• Vocational education in Electrical Engineering (EQF level 34) or equivalent. Relevant work experience is also accepted.
• Technical/vocational training in Electrical Engineering, or comparable professional experience in industrial installations.
• Completed secondary vocational education in Electrical Engineering, or several years of practical on‑the‑job experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical or E&I industry (e.g., as Technician)
• Good communication skills in English (basic level required)
• Team player with a result- and quality-oriented mindset
