Job summary

PwC is seeking an Associate in Legal Transformation Consulting to help bring legal work into a more strategic, tech-enabled realm. You will collaborate with legal teams across large organizations and the public sector, bridging technology and law on a variety of projects that shape the profession.

You will contribute to defining AI/tech strategies, measuring function performance, conducting workshops, and delivering change management while growing with a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (WO) in Law or related field such as Fiscal Economics, Business or Change Management.
• Experience in transformation consulting, legal tech, legal operations or law.
• Affinity for project management and process improvement. Data analytics skills are a strong advantage;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.
• Fluent command of English. Dutch is a very strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team in defining clients' AI and legal technology strategy, from operating models to use cases and selecting technology.
• Help measure the performance of the legal function, build business cases for investment, and align stakeholders.
• Facilitate hands-on workshops/interviews with legal teams to map processes and gather requirements for technology solutions.
• Configure and test client solutions in AI, Contract Lifecycle Management and other legal tech systems.
• Support change management and hands-on training to embed new ways of working for clients.
• Collaborate with PwC’s own legal teams to reuse solutions across client work.

Job Description

The Legal Transformation Consulting team works with legal functions within large (international) companies and the public sector, as well as legal service providers. Our support covers the full journey, from reworking operating models to optimizing processes and helping embed lasting change. We also partner with PwC's own legal teams to deliver tech-enabled managed legal services, contract portfolio remediations, and internal legal transformation projects.

As an Associate in our practice, you'll help clients redesign their strategy, and act as the bridge between technology and legal projects that are reshaping legal work. More specifically, you will:

• Support the team in working with clients to define their AI and legal technology strategy, from rethinking operating models and identifying use cases to selecting the right technology;
• Assist the team in helping clients measure the performance of their legal function to identify the way forward, build compelling business cases for investment, and bring stakeholders on board;
• Facilitate hands-on workshops and interviews with legal teams to understand how they work today, map their processes and gather requirements for technology solutions;
• Configure and test client solutions in AI, Contract Lifecycle Management and other legal tech systems;
• Help new ways of working take hold by supporting clients with change management and hands-on training;
• Work with PwC’s own legal teams to reshape how we deliver services, applying the same solutions and ideas to our services that we bring to clients.

In addition, you have:

• A completed Master's degree (WO), for example in Law, or a related field such as Fiscal Economics, Business or Change Management;
• Experience in transformation consulting, legal tech, legal operations or law, or a demonstrable interest in legal transformation consulting and legal tech;
• Affinity for project management and process improvement. Data analytics skills are a strong advantage;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You enjoy looking for the bigger picture in complex situations;
• Excellent communication and facilitation abilities. You enjoy working with different people and helping them work towards a common goal;
• Familiarity or a demonstrable interest in legal technology, such as Contract Lifecycle Management or GenAI tools;
• Fluent command of English. Dutch is a very strong advantage.
