Job summary

Wilshire, a global investment firm, is seeking an Associate to join its Private Markets investment team in Amsterdam. You will evaluate, select, and monitor private markets investments across Europe while engaging with managers and market participants in a collaborative, international setting.

The role requires 3-6 years in private markets or related fields, a MSc in a relevant discipline, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• MSc. in finance, economics, engineering, or business-related studies.
• 3-6 years of relevant professional experience in private markets, investment management, investment banking, management consulting, transaction services, or a related financial services environment.
• A self-starter who is hard working, proactive and results oriented.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• A passion for excellence.
• An entrepreneurial bent and a "roll-up-the-sleeves" orientation.
• Excellent analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative).
• Must be comfortable with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).

• Interest in leveraging approved AI-enabled tools to streamline work processes, enhance productivity, and support high-quality outputs, while applying sound judgment, attention to detail, and adherence to firm policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and due diligence across private market segments in Europe (private equity, venture capital, private credit, private real assets).
• Lead portions of due diligence processes and interact with fund managers and market participants.
• Prepare investment materials and committee presentations.
• Assist with ongoing monitoring of private markets investments.
• Contribute to development of the team's research capabilities and investment insights.

Job Description

As an Associate, you will be an integral member of Wilshire's global Private Markets investment team. You will play a key role in the evaluation, selection, and monitoring of private markets investments across Europe, while gaining exposure to a broad range of private market strategies and manager relationships.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytically minded, entrepreneurial professional with prior investment, consulting, or financial services experience who is passionate about private markets and eager to take on increased responsibility within a collaborative, international investment environment.

What you'll do:

• Conduct research and due diligence efforts across all private market segments (private equity, venture capital, private credit, private real assets) in Europe.
• Take an active role throughout the investment process, including market research, manager evaluation, investment analysis, preparation of investment materials and committee presentations.
• Lead portions of due diligence processes and interact directly with fund managers, industry participants, and other market stakeholders.
• Assist with the ongoing monitoring of private markets investments
• Contribute to the continued development of the team's research capabilities, processes and investment insights.
