United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Associate Commercial Counsel based in Amsterdam to join the global Deal Desk within the Commercial Legal team. You will negotiate complex vendor and partner contracts and draft comprehensive negotiation playbooks while training internal teams on contract navigation and interpretation.

The role requires 3+ years of legal experience and a commercial mindset, with the ability to work across multi-jurisdictional agreements in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic, business-oriented legal advice across procurement, partnerships, product, and regulatory teams globally, including on contracting principles, commercial projects, and legal compliance within vendor and partner contracts.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of complex, multi-jurisdictional commercial agreements.
  • Proactively solve emerging legal and operational risks, providing risk-based decisions and improvements to mitigate exposure.
  • Advise on early-stage disputes, manage initial phases of legal conflicts, and provide counsel on complex interpretations.
  • Drive legal automation and process improvements to scale the team's negotiation efficiency.
  • Work autonomously in a cross-functional manner and build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the company.

Associate Commercial Counsel

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Associate Commercial Counsel based in Amsterdam to join the global Deal Desk within the Commercial Legal team at the company. As Associate Commercial Counsel, you will be responsible for negotiating complex contract negotiations with our vendors and commercial partners. You will also be responsible for drafting comprehensive negotiation playbooks, training internal teams on how to navigate and negotiate vendor and partnership relationships, advising on contract interpretation, and other general commercial matters.This is a role for a counsel who thrives in a fast-moving, complex environment, who is commercially-minded, and who can leverage their sophisticated legal expertise and strong communication skills into tangible, scalable value that accelerates the company’s global growth.

What you will do:
  • Provide strategic, business-oriented legal advice across procurement, partnerships, product, and regulatory teams globally, including on our contracting principles, commercial projects, and legal and regulatory compliance within our vendor and partner contracts.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of complex, multi-jurisdictional commercial agreements.

  • Advising on early-stage disputes, managing initial phases of legal conflicts, and providing counsel on complex legal interpretations.

  • Work autonomously in a cross-functional manner.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, leaders, and stakeholders across the company.
Who you are:
  • 3+ years of legal experience, in house or at a law firm including strong commercial contracting and/or other transactional experience to compliment your solid understanding of contract law principles.
  • Clear communicator who ensures your stakeholders understand the purpose and reasoning behind decisions.
  • Solid people skills and work well with a variety of internal and external stakeholders from varying disciplines and cultures.
  • Curious, ask questions, and take ownership over your learning and professional growth.
  • Self-motivated, pragmatic, reliable, adaptable and detail-oriented.
  • Experience educating others on complex ideas, communicating them clearly, and providing additional training when necessary.
  • The ability to structure and prioritize your work in a high volume, fast-paced environment and build and drive processes to completion.
