Job summary

Salento is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design and build scalable backend systems for an AI-driven SaaS product. You will actively contribute to architectural decisions and the overall technical direction, while improving reliability, performance, and maintainability of the platform.

The role requires demonstrable seniority with Python, FastAPI, Elasticsearch and SQL/NoSQL databases, with bonus points for vector search, LLMs & LangChain experience. Rotterdam-based hybrid work.

Senior Backend Engineer – AI-Driven SaaS Product – up to EUR 90K – Rotterdam / Hybrid

My client is a scale-up that has built and is continuing to scale a successful AI-driven SaaS product. The international customer base is growing rapidly, and they are backed by solid investments. The product provides answers to one of the most critical questions of our time: “Which emerging technologies will matter, how soon, and by how much?” My client can share solid used cases in which customers were able to avoid to get disrupted and/or built strong partnerships due to the insights of this AI driven SaaS product.

The enormous attention for AI (e.g. ChatGPT) has paid off for my client. Of course, my client also integrates the possibilities of ChatGPT like tooling into their product. But my client was already working on their vision before the current AI hype. And they have crafted their own models from scratch.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design and build scalable backend systems. You are thus expected to actively contribute to architectural decisions and the overall technical direction. Next tot his, you will improve the reliability, performance and maintainability of the platform.

The team is mature and they built high quality features in a fast paced environment.

You bring:
