Job summary

Responsibilities

• Supporting project managers with project planning, progress tracking, and control.
• Acting as a central point of contact and connecting link between the project, finance, and other stakeholders.
• Collecting, analyzing, and understanding project and financial data.
• Proactively gathering information from various stakeholders (project teams, finance, suppliers).
• Preparing and maintaining progress reports, overviews, and dashboards.
• Supporting budget monitoring, forecasts, and cost analyses in collaboration with Finance.
• Identifying deviations, risks, and dependencies and raising them for discussion.
• Recording and structuring project information, decisions, and actions.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of project and reporting processes.

Job Profile: Project Manager Apprentice

Purpose of the Role

The Project Manager Apprentice supports experienced project managers in planning, executing, and completing projects within a technical environment. In this role, he/she acts as a central coordinator and learns to manage projects through close collaboration, data analysis, and proactive information gathering from various stakeholders.

Position in the Organization

• Reports to: Project Manager / Senior Project Manager
• Works closely with: Project Managers, Finance, project team members, suppliers, and other internal stakeholders

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Supporting project managers with project planning, progress tracking, and control.
• Acting as a central point of contact and connecting link between the project, finance, and other stakeholders.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

• Completed or ongoing higher education degree (HBO/WO) (e.g., business administration, engineering, IT, or similar).
• Some relevant work experience (e.g., internship, traineeship, or junior role).
• Affinity with project management in a technical industry.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong ability to understand, analyze, and connect data.
• Ability to quickly create an overview of complex information.
• Experience with or strong affinity for financial and project data.
• SAP experience is a plus, but not required.
• Proficient in MS Excel and other reporting and project tools.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good command of Dutch and English.
