Job summary

ASML is seeking an application security specialist to strengthen security across on‑premises and cloud environments, including SaaS. The role focuses on translating high‑level requirements into concrete security expectations and ensuring effective enforcement.

You will work in the Second Line Security organization, defining controls, advising teams and performing assessments to verify IT security requirements are met. Collaboration and ongoing learning are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in security management at enterprise level (approx. 5 years).
• Strong technical understanding of current security technologies and trends.
• In-depth knowledge of IT risk/security frameworks and best practices (NIST CSF, ISF SOGP, NIST SP 800-30, ISO 27001/2).
• CISSP, CISM, CCSP and/or CISA certifications; IT audit experience is a plus.

As an application security subject matter expert, you will be focusing on multiple areas of expertise covering application and infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments, including SaaS solutions.

Role and responsibilities

This function is positioned in the Second Line Security organization. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for defining security controls for new and existing IT solutions within ASML. You will assist and advise various technical teams on the interpretation and implementation of security policies, requirements, and controls. You will perform in-depth security assessments to verify that IT security requirements are correctly implemented and effectively enforced within specific solutions. You will translate high-level security requirements into concrete technical expectations and evaluate their implementation in practice.

In this role, you will:

• Assure that security requirements are effectively covered within the required security policies and standards


• Contribute to, test and monitor the effectiveness of our Security Controls Framework (including controls deviations management)


• Conduct specialized security assessments and support findings management


• Support our security compliance advisory and consultancy services to the organization

Education and experience

• Experience in security management, preferably on enterprise level (ca. 5 years)


• Strong technical understandingand deep knowledge of the current security technologies as well as current and future developments


• In-depth working knowledge of IT Risk/security frameworks and best practices, such as NIST Cyber security framework, ISF Standard of Good Practice for Information Security, NIST SP 800 30 framework, ISO 27001/2 framework


• Valid industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP and/or CISA and IT audit experience are appreciated
