Job summary

Aquablu B.V. is seeking an Android Engineer to own end-to-end on-device Android software features and contribute to our mobile apps. You’ll work across hardware, firmware, and product in a small, fast team, delivering reliable, field-ready software.

You’ll partner with our senior engineer, ship across hundreds of devices, and embrace AI-native development to push what we ship. The role reports to the Head of Digital Product within Software & Intelligence Engineering.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years building and shipping Android software in Kotlin.
• Experience with on-device / embedded Android is a strong plus.
• Able to plan, communicate progress/risks, and deliver end to end; knows when to consult a senior.
• AI-native coding using AI agents daily to improve output.

Responsibilities

• Develop on-device Android software (UI, behavior, integration with hardware).
• Contribute to fleet-ready releases across hundreds of devices.
• Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams for seamless on-device behavior.
• Support mobile development for consumer app as needed.
• Engage in AI-native development to extend capabilities.
